Thrift Finds
Sometimes we get so lucky at thrift shops and sometimes we just walk out with nothing. As some of you know I love cats and have three of my own plus feed feral cats, get them fixed and they get their shots. Well on my last trip to my local thrift shop I bought this darling little porcelain cat. I was so excited when I saw it, it's a Franklin Mint Cat made in Japan in 1984 and it was only $2.
Then at the back of the store they had a table just full of doilies from 25cents to $4.00 for the most expensive. I took most of them, only left a couple that I just didn't want. What an exciting day that was.
"Beloved, let us love one another, because love is from God; everyone who loves is born of God and knows Him" ... Have a wonderful week.
I will be sharing this with Ivy and Elephants, link on my side bar. These gals are wonderful and always have interesting posts.

Hi Lu. I love your little cat. She's so pretty! I'm always hearing about these thrift shops and what wonderful bargains my American friends come up with. Are they what we know as charity shops over here? Hope you are keeping well my friend. Take care.
ReplyDeleteDear Lu,
ReplyDeleteThank you for your visit and for your kind words!
Your little porcelain cat is so cute!
As for doilies, I also love them very much and I have a lot of them from my granny and my great aunt!
I don't even know how to make use of them all...any ideas ??
Hugs,
Marie-Anne
First of all, I love that Romans 11:33 I am speechless sometimes when I walk outside and have soft grass under my feet and then go to my fruit trees (in the summer) and pick off a piece of fruit that fits perfectly in my hand...God made that especially for mankind to fit in his hand. Everything is so porportionetly made for us...He loves us so much!
ReplyDeleteI adore your sweet finds at the thrift store.
And I love cats too...all my life! I wish I had the funds to neuter and spay the stray wild cats that come into my yard. What a lovely and kind thing you are doing for those lonely lost kitties.
Hope you are having a good 2013~
hugs,
