Pink Gifts + I Won

Hi to all my pink friends, I have been so busy lately, therefore, late in posting my Pink Saturday with Beverly. I would like to share a couple of things with you today.
First I was the lucky winner of Stephanie of Angelic Accents Wedding Give-a-Way and here are all the ever so lovely gifts I received from sweet Stephanie. First is the lovely shawl, which I can't wait to wear and most items came in the pretty box under it. Hope you can see everything. It was all wrapped beautifully. Thank you again so much dear friend.

These pink items I received from one of my daughters on Mother's Day and have not used anything yet cause was waiting to take pics and post them first, that tells you how busy I have been.

Now I will wash the dishes with my pretty gloves.

I also had to share with you this little fairy garden I made in an extra bird bath I had, it was so much fun putting it all together.

My Latest Pink Finds

A big hello to all my pink friends, hope all of you are doing well and enjoying this lovely early summer weather.
Perhaps some of you have heard of the Rose Bowl in Pasadena here in CA, well my granddaughter Kimberly and I enjoy going on second Sunday of the month. She goes to law school in San Francisco but is home for the summer so of course we had to go to one of our favorite places the Rose Bowl.
Found this gorgeous mirror with leaded glass border in pink plus a pink rose for only $20. it's a beauty and now hangs in the dining room.

Then as we walked further there she was, my eyes got bigger when I saw this beautiful cage dress. She reminds me of Cinderella, so that's her name, price $8. gladly paid.

The door opens and don't know yet what I will put inside. Perhaps a candle, or a flower arrangement or even just a bird nest with a couple of small eggs.

I feel so lucky this month to have found Miss Lily and these items all at such low prices. This has certainly been a good month for me, then there are times when we find nothing but we always say, perhaps next time. What will next month bring? Till then...

Meet Miss Lily

Hello Dear Friends,
Well I am just so excited to introduce you to Miss Lily. Let me tell you how I found her. There is this little thrift shop not too far from here, however, do not go often because they don't have too much, although did find once a white chenille queen size bedspread for $8...it's beautiful and on our bed. So the other day decided to take a chance and go see what they had, when I walked into the second room, there she was but the pole was not out so she looked almost like she was sitting on the floor. I immediately checked the price and could not believe my eyes when I saw $12. wow! knew right then and there that she was going home with me. Meet Miss Lily.

I didn't even know the pole was inside of her, it was my dh Rick that said to lay her down and look for the pole. Well after using WD40 we were able to get to the pole. We think the pole had always been inside of her cause it's new and shiny.

I just added a bunch of old jewelry to her for the moment.

I am so happy with Miss Lily and she is also happy that she found a good home.

Pink Saturday Happy Fathers Day

Hello to all my Pink Friends,
This is a big weekend, Father's Day, my dh Rick's birthday and Pink Saturday. My daddy is no longer with me, he went to live with Jesus. For Rick I decided to make things in our patio a little different so he can enjoy this little garden from the window in his office. As most of you know he had a stroke. Tomorrow I will be taking him out to the patio for lunch, that way he can get a closer view of what I did for him. Hope you enjoy our garden. The pink roses bloomed just for them.




This is my dh Rick quite a few years before the stroke. He no longer has the beard just the mustache. We also got rid of these terrible doors.

Here is my dear daddy, he passed away at age 83. Miss you daddy.

We will be enjoying our patio tomorrow but Rick is able to see it already.

My cat Jersey Girl follows me everywhere, she saw me climb the ladder to fix the curtains so she decided to do same. She is so silly and talks to me with her meows.

I hope everyone has a beautiful and peaceful Father's Day, those of you who no longer have your dads let your sweet memories stay with you every day of your life.

Pink Saturday-Pink Roses

Hello My Pink Friends, We just did the Wedding Party with Angelic Accents and now it's Pink Saturday. It's late and I am just getting around to it, where does the time go.
A couple of days ago I went to GW and there was this gorgeous heart plate, of course had to get it. It's a pretty good match to my hot chocolate set below.

These are delicious little sweets to have with our hot chocolate. Bought them at Home Goods, should of bought more.

My Bridal Party

Welcome everyone to this year's Wedding Party sponsored by Angelic Accents. We will start off with the cake. This time I decided we would enjoy two cakes, one in white while the other in pink.

One can never have enough cake. Ok, cake will be served in just a few minutes, so gather round for you don't want to miss a slice of each cake. Don't they look delicious? Can't wait.

My bridal bouquet was all white roses, however, for this party I only had these.

This is my original crown and bride and groom cake toppers. How they survived all these years I'll never know.

Here is my dress from the original Modern Bride magazine. I remember that when I saw it in the magazine I told mom, this is the dress I want. Designed by Ina, lace by Mandelace. It was entirely of exquisitely French imported hand clipped Chantilly-type lace and pleated nylon tulle. The entire bodice, scoop neckline and sleeves were enhanced with sequins and tiny seed pearls. It was reminiscent of the most romantic era of the past.




And we lived happily ever after....

My Shabby Chic Chair

Hi Sweet Friends, Look what I did with my old chair, actually was going to donate it when I decided to just throw an old vintage tablecloth on it and guess what? A new chair was born. Added a pillow, one of my dolls and a little heart pillow I made. I am thrilled with it and hubby Rick really likes it too.
