Hello Dear Friends, Hope all of you are enjoying a perfect summer.
On my last post I showed a half face doll, well some of you had never heard of them, so I decided to show you a few more. Actually they are lapel pins half dolls.
This first one I have had since the 50's and think it's my favorite. I still wear it sometimes and always get compliments. Love the little fox.
I purchased this beauty in a vintage shop. They had such pretty little faces.
I had a small piece of this leopard fabric, don't need much for them, so decided to decorate her in it. I am pleased with the results.
This is the one I showed in my last post. Here is a closer look at her. They are still made but they look nothing like these, the faces are smaller and not very pretty.
I will be joining Ivy and Elephants, What's it Wednesday, link on my side bar.
Well this gives you a little look at yesterdays half face dolls lapel pins. Have a wonderful rest of this beautiful week.
Something to think about: Today being the 25th, only 5 months left till Christmas.

Hi Lu, wonderful post, have not been too well and thought I would catch up on some comments.
ReplyDeleteTake care.
Yvonne.
Thanks so much Lu for stopping over. I appreciate it so. I have been very busy and have not blogged in months. I need to get back into the habit of posting and also visiting. I can see by your sweet blog that I am missing so much.
ReplyDeleteI hate to be the bearer of bads news, but the doves never came to be. We went on vacation for a week and when we came back, the mama was gone. It's just so sad to think what could have happened to her. She had two eggs and of course, they never hatched. I hope next year, I find more nests and have better luck.
Thank you sweet one for stopping by. I hope to have a post up by the weekend and share what I have been up too.

Lu, Where on earth do you get your treasures? I love these, and I have never seen them before. The second one reminds me of myself because I have long brown hair. I loved how you displayed them on pink backgrounds. Oh, tell your husband thanks for looking at some of my posts. I think that is so nice. Every now and then, my husband will take a glance at my blog too. Have a nice weekend, dear.
