Hi Pink Friends,
This week my pink post is even smaller than last week. I have been painting our bedroom all week, will probably finish it tomorrow Sunday, wow! what a job. I painted it about 5 years ago but let's face it I'm 5 years older now.
You probably have seen these little half face dolls, well cleaning I found a couple of them and decided to make this one up. I made her a pink velvet hat and matching scarf with rhinestones, had some pretty red hair so gave it to her. She matched this bathroom pretty good so she lives here now.
Another view.
I am a bit tired tonight, I cannot use a roller to paint, have tried but just cannot use it, therefore, the brush is all I use. Going up and down the ladder has been good exercise for me, so far my legs are not sore. Happy Pink Saturday to everyone and thank you to Beverly for allowing all of us to show our Pinks every week.

Sweet pink! You have a beautiful blog by the way!
ReplyDeleteI've never seen a 1/2 face doll, yours is mighty cute.
ReplyDeleteNo painting for me......I'm too messy.
When I was a little girl I was always following my daddy, being an only child. Learned many things just watching him, one of which is painting. I do enjoy it, in fact when Rick had the stroke, I painted this entire house inside, needed something to calm me and it did the trick. Love, Lu
DeleteHello Lu~ I've never seen this type doll face either...unique! Painting is work, eh? I am thinking of painting my Scrap/Sewing room but the thought of it makes me tired! THX for visiting my blog~
ReplyDeleteSHawn
You know once you get going, you will enjoy it and won't seem like work. Just think of how it will look when you are done. Smiles, Lu
DeleteOh Lu, This is so adorable!! Love that doll face!!! Sending ((hugs)) your way. And I'm so glad you enjoyed the book, too!!!

Good Morning Sweet Friend,
ReplyDeleteOh your half doll face is gorgeous. What a wonderful accent for the room. You are so talented. I have not seen this type of doll face. Did it come from the old German factories like Frozen Charlotte doll?
I bet your painting is gorgeous. What color ae you painting the room? I know how much work is involved too. I still have 2 rooms to paint and change colors to a lighter look. Waiting till Fall for now. Don't overdo it Lu. Rest when you can.
Thank you for stopping by and your kind comment. You always bless me with your words.
Have a special Tuesday.
XO Celestina Marie
I prefer the traditional paint brush as well!
ReplyDeleteOh, how pretty! The doll face is so sweet. Now what color, what color?
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
