Hope for All
This poem was send to me from our cousin in Oregon, I just had to post it.
****
This poem gives a person hope for tomorrow.
Twas' 11 days before Christmas, around 9:38
when 20 beautiful children stormed through heaven's gate.
Their smiles were contagious, their laughter filled the air.
They could hardly believe all the beauty they saw there.
They were filled with such joy, they didn't know what to say.
They remembered nothing of what had happened earlier that day.
"Where are we?" asked a little girl, as quiet as a mouse.
"This is heaven." declared a small boy. "We're spending Christmas at God's house."
When what to their wondering eyes did appear,
but Jesus, their savior, the children gathered near.
He looked at them and smiled, and they smiled just the same.
Then He opened His arms and He called them by name.
And in that moment was joy, that only heaven can bring,
those children all flew into the arms of their King.
And as they lingered in the warmth of His embrace,
one small girl turned and looked at Jesus' face.
And as if He could read all the questions she had
He gently whispered to her, "I'll take care of mom and dad."
Then He looked down on earth, the world far below
He saw all of the hurt, the sorrow, and woe.
Then He closed His eyes and He outstretched His hand,
"Let My power and presence re-enter this land!"
"May this country be delivered from the hands of fools"
"I'm taking back my nation. I'm taking back my schools!"
Then He and the children stood up without a sound.
"Come now my children, let me show you around."
Excitement filled the space, some skipped and some ran.
All displaying enthusiasm that only a small child can.
And I heard Him proclaim as He walked out of sight,
"In the midst of this darkness, I AM STILL THE LIGHT."

Sad Pink Saturday
Hello Everyone, Yesterday we had a horrible thing happen in Connecticut where a shooting happened in an elementary school. 20 innocent children were killed along with 6 adults. We are all very saddened by this and I only chose to post my nativity scene of little children. These sweet little children are little angels in heaven now. Hope 2013 is a much better year and the parents and family of all these little children heal from this horrific experience. Please visit other pretty pinks via my link on the side bar.
Our thoughts and prayers are with them.

Pinks for Pink Saturday
Hello Dear Friends,
Busy time of the year for all of us. I have been doing boutiques and have not had much time to post here on Pink Saturday, which I love so much. Thank you Beverly for all you do and for having us visit each other here on Saturdays. Click on my side bar to see many pretty pinks.
Today I wanted to share just a few of my pinks. This first one is a pink candle with faux roses, sorry no real roses right now.
I might of shown this pink angel before but she wanted to be included, so here she is again. She is a find at a thrift shop.
These bottles I decorated and the candle is from Urban Barn in Escondito here in CA. have any of you been there? That is a beautiful store, my daughter and I enjoy going once in a while, it's a little far for us or we would go more often.
Hope all of you are enjoying this beautiful season as we await the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ.

Love One Another
Hello Friends, Here we are in the middle of the week and here in CA we are expecting rain and more rain or so they said, time will tell.
I received some forwards from a friend in Oregon and had to share this one photo with all of you. I just thought this was so adorable, an expression of love. It tells us to love one another and not to forget our troops and the folks back east that have had so many problems and some are still without power.

Redwood State Park
Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I would like to share with you Redwood State Park up in Monterey, CA. My granddaughter was given a promotion at her job and had to move up there. She joined a hiking group and here are some of the pictures I received. The hike was in Boulder Creek which is about 1 1/2 hours from Monterey.
They hiked for 12 miles which took 5 hours. Isn't this beautiful?
They had very nice paths.
Just look at the size of these trees.
All the pictures I received were breathtaking.
Thank you so much for visiting me today, we had 90 deg. here today.

Welcome Autumn & Pink
Happy Pink Saturday to all...Hope all of you are well and enjoying the lovely weather we are having, well here in CA anyway. Our prayers are with all the folks in New York, New Jersey and surrounding places. My daughters mother-n-law was very close but she is alright. Just a few streets down they were not so lucky.
At Pinterest found this Autumn Door that I thought would be nice for today's post. It's autumn yet the leaves look pink.
Went to one of my little thrift shops this week and found this darling pink angel. She is not only sweet but lights up as well. She was only $3.00
Here she is with her little lights on, isn't she adorable? I just love her and she looks so very pretty at night.
Here she is again on the mantel.
Also bought this little arrangement of pink roses for $2.00 in a white stand.
I said I wasn't going to paint the dining room cabinet till spring, however, when I was done with the room this cabinet looks simply terrible, so spend today painting it. I must say it looks much better now, tomorrow will arrange it.
Thank you Beverly for sponsoring Pink Saturday, we all really enjoy it. Just click on my side bar and see all the other pretty pinks.....
May Peace and Love fill your home my dear pink friends.

Pink Ribbon Saturday
Hello dear friends,
Today for Pink Saturday we are having Cancer Awareness since October is Cancer Awareness Month. Please click on my side bar for Beverly's Pink Saturday to see all the other pinks and more, thank you Beverly.
This post is in memory of my cousin Maria who died of Breast Cancer only a few weeks ago and only nine months after she found out she had this awful disease. Her and my cousin Daniel were such a loving couple, always together and helping each other out. They raised their family and were enjoying grandchildren. They married young and she was in her early 50's. She loved birds and had many cages plus a walk in cage full of birds.
She is with Jesus now safe and free of Cancer.
These are some of my pinks from my studio for this week.

I have been Painting
Hello Dear Friends,
I haven't posted in a couple of weeks, you all know about the death in our family, so the way that I deal with situations like this is that I get involved in something major here in our home. Therefore, I decided to paint the dining room and kitchen. Dining room walls are done but not the wood work when that is done I will move on to the kitchen. It is not a large one so should go fast for now work in progress as follows...
Here are my paint cans, the color was like a beige, not so easy to cover with one coat, so had to do two coats now it's off white.
My ladder, dear husband Rick does not like me climbing the ladder, but I was very careful, trust me.
This is a built in cabinet in the room, won't be painting the inside this time around just the trim. Perhaps next spring will do the inside when I have more time.
Full cabinet, gave many of my tea cups to one of my daughters. We don't use them much any more and trying to make space for other things. I have enjoyed doing all of this painting although between taking care of Rick, cooking and painting not that easy. But I was not rushed, took my time.
Well this is what I have been up to. I pray all of you have been well, especially my dear sweet blogging friend Dolores, who some of you know lost her wonderful husband, David, recently to Alzheimers, Beautiful couple. I am honored to call her my friend.

Pink Saturday
Hello to all my Pink Saturday Friends and of course to Beverly. Thank you for hosting this wonderful day for all of us.
The above image came from the graphics fairy. As some of you know we had a death in the family a couple of weeks ago and I have not had time to do anything for Halloween yet. So this is my pumpkin for today.
I am selling in a shop now and have a couple of things to show you especially cause they are in pink. Who doesn't need a small jewelry box, here is one that I embellished for the shop.
These are two beautiful pink bathroom or dresser jars with lids which I will be delivering next week.
I love this larger jewelry box which I did in fall colors. as requested.
My tea light black cat was handy so I took a picture of him along with the mouse ghost that a friend made for me years ago.
Thank you for visiting me today, hope everyone has a very happy week. (I posted today Thursday instead of tomorrow Friday because I won't be here tomorrow)
May your lives be cushioned by feathers from the wings of an Angel.
