A Couple of Ancesters

Hi Friends, Was looking at some old photos and decided to post these, hope you enjoy them.
My grandmother Victoria, she was always sewing and made lovely things.
Would you believe this is my grandmothers sewing machine? You turn it by hand to sew, still works well. I remember grandfather buying her bolts of fabric.
Aunt Sofia from first photo but a close up.
Till next time...

Letspurr, My Website of Cat Lover Gifts

Hello Everyone, I have a website of Cat Lover Gifts and all the proceeds go to feed my homeless/feral cats. I have been feeding cats for about 10 years now and all felines that come to me I have spayed or neutered and of course they also get their shots. We bought several cages to carry them in and also a trap to catch them since some of them we could not touch much less hold. Here are just a few pictures of items that I carry on my website, some items are handmade:
Have pictures of some of my feral cats on the website. Several have been here for awhile and know me now since I feed them twice a day, I can even hold them now. Of course I have four of my own.... Also carry cat gift cards that come with a tag for gift giving. Hope you stop by sometime, hopefully you will find something you like. Letspurr.com

Granddaughter Kelly Gets Married

It was an amazing weekend, my granddaughter Kelly was married in a lovely beach front wedding in La Jolla, which is just north of San Diego, CA...here are a few pictures of this wonderful event. Here she is with her hubby Brian, my daughter Judy and her hubby Dann.
Her little dog was also in the wedding, she carried the rings.
Lovely music was provided by this group of handsome men.
It was a beach front wedding, weather was perfect and it was just so lovely.
We wish the bride and groom a beautiful life together. Love you both.

My Patio

Hello Everyone, If I knew where time went I would go and get some but I sure don't know, anyway here I am again posting and I hope some of you are still around to read and see my blog. My patio is not the same anymore since my hubby Rick cannot come out and enjoy it like we use to. He is in a hospital bed now, here at home and cannot walk at all. So our table is sad.
I do come out to do a little watering, don't want my plants to die especially my ferns that I like so much.
I also take good care of my little lemon tree, it's in a large pot and gives us lemons every year.
Don't you just love pansies? Purple my favorite color of course.
Well dear friends that should do it for today. I am selling in a nearby gift shop and that also keeps me quite busy. I make several cat gift items among other things. Also like to recover chairs and stools. Thank you for stopping by, talk to you soon....

Getting Patio Ready for Spring/Summer

Welcome friends, Yes, it's time to get motivated and get our patio ready so we can enjoy it all summer. Last summer I decided to decorate it in lavender/purple since it has always been one of my favorite colors. Here are a few photos that I have taken. This is the before:
This is how I painted them...
Painted this chair last summer, will freshen it up again this year.
Painted this mirror which I bought at a Goodwill store and made this curtain for the entrance or exit gate of the patio...

A few blooms.
When I get a few spare moments I like to make items for a shop that I am in now, Country Gifts in Temple City, CA...This is the the small stool I bought...

Here is how I re-covered it. Everyone knows how I love cats and feed homeless cats that gather here. By the way this stool is sold.
Hopefully will have time to post again, as you know I have an invalid husband and not that much spare time. Blessings to all...

Hospital Bed

Hello everyone, I have been so busy with no time to post on my blog. First of all my husband, Rick, is not able to walk at all anymore, not one step. Doctor came to see him and ordered a hospital bed. You can imagine my work now taking care of him, but I do it with plenty of TLC. He had a stroke 14 years ago this month. He has been paralyzed on his left side since then, however, with a brace on his leg he was able to take some steps. Doctor said that his left knee finally gave out, no more muscle at all so he determined that he needed a hospital bed. Our bedroom now has this hospital bed in it and I had to get a twin bed for myself. You can imagine how busy I have been. Then my daughter, Judy's little dog had a bad fall and cracked her skull, she only weights about 4 or 5 lbs. very tiny, she was taken to emergency immediately and is picking up little by little but she has a very long road ahead, months and months. Not certain the extend of brain damage. Here are a couple of pictures of her, first one how she looked at the vet hospital and second picture taken before the accident. She is a little sweetie.
Wishing everyone a Very Happy Thanksgiving Day.

Lost a Friend to Breast Cancer

This is October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month! Have you had your mammogram yet? I had a very dear blogging friend, her name was Sandra and she lived in northern California. She told me she had breast cancer a couple of years ago and that she would have to sell her home and down size. Time went by and I didn't hear from her, then she posted a very serene picture on her blog, only a chair with a blanket draped over it and in the background water, perhaps a lake. She told me this would be her home now and nothing else.
Again never heard from her, I would post on her blog with no replies and so did other friends. Well a couple of weeks ago I received an email from another blogger, who I don't know and she told me that she had spoken to a neice of Sandra and that she had passed away. I was so very sad and could not believe what I had just read, think I read it about three times before it sunk in. These roses are for you dear Sandra, this is her picture.
She is resting now in Heaven and at peace with no cancer or pain.
Rest in peace dear friend Sandra, I will never forget you...
