A Beautiful Virgin

Hello Dear Friends,
Today I thought I would share with you a couple of things my daughter, Julie had done in her back yard. One of her workers was making a trip to Mexico so she asked him to bring her tiles depicting the Virgin of Guadalupe. She had this idea that she wanted to add to her yard, actually a patio area.
He did bring her the tiles then she hired someone to execute her idea. She still has a few things to do like adding plants all around her, but I had to share it already. Her time is so limited, she owns a restaurant and lost her husband in a horrible accident as you might of read here in earlier posts.

This is her angel fountain which is on the other side of the Virgin.

Closer look at Virgin which is right below this one. I meant to put that pic first.

In June we went to the San Gabriel Mission and found this Virgin on the grounds as we took the walking tour. We had no idea of it and she was overwhelmed that it reminded her so much of hers. Of course this is so much larger and look at the plants over the top and a cement bench to sit and meditate, however, the similarities are there.

Thank you so much for visiting with me today, I always enjoy having visitors and comments. I linked up with Ivy and Elephants, link on side bar. Please check these wonderful gals out. Have a blessed week sweet friends.

  8. Hi Lu, Wow what a wonderful fountain and display. I remember when your daughter lost her husband. She created a perfect yard accent and her vision really does look very similar to the larger fountain you saw on your visit to the mission.
Thank you for sharing this. I love it.
Sending hugs your way and prayers for your daughter.

Thank you for stopping by and your kind comment.
