Pink Saturday & Fall
Hello my dear Pinkies...
I am sad tonight because I just found out that my dear cousin Daniel lost his wife to breast cancer. She had been fighting it for 9 months but she could fight no longer. I am in tears and I just spoke with him. Thank the Lord he has his daughters and grand children to help him in these difficult times.
Here is my pink post. First is this fancy lady which I purchased at the Rose Bowl Flea in Pasadena, CA and I gave her a new look. Bought three of these fancy ladies.
This is our park way tree, which the city put in on all the streets years ago. Now these trees loose all their leaves every year beginning in August, but as you can see, this year they refuse to loose the leaves. Guess they are happy and full of life still.
This is how it should of looked early September, this is last year.
But this is what we have of leaves on the lawn so far. Therefore, we do not have the look of fall yet around here.
Thank you for stopping by and thank you Beverly for our lovely Pink Saturdays that we all enjoy so very much. Click on side bar to see other gals and their pinks.

Gifts I Make
Hello to my Pink Friends,
This week I decided to show you a few of the things I have been working on for the boutiques I will be doing for the holidays. Thank you Beverly for Pink Saturdays. Link is on side bar to join in on the pink fun.
This is a special order from etsy, I just mailed it today. While this isn't all pink St. Theresa has lovely darker pink roses and the silk roses I added at the base are also a dark pink. These are sachet little pillows with lavender inside. I make many religious items.
Bought the following two metal frames at a thrift shop, they were already painted pink, I added everything else, including the Virgin of Guadalupe who now has rhinestones all around the frame and a pink rosary.
The same for this one. This madonna is from a Greek prayer card. Gave her a black rosary and of course she also has rhinestones.
I like the way this book box turned out. It is soft pink and the angel is so sweet.
This is a small box which I have embellished also, inside is a bar of soap. Have so many things I have been making but tried to choose the ones with pink on them.
"Those who bring sunshine to the lies of others cannot keep it from themselves"
Yes, all my blogging friends you all bring me lots of sunshine. Have a wonderful weekend.

Fall/Autumn
I am joining Etsy Cottage Style for our Fall/Autumn Blog Party. Seems like yesterday it was Spring and now look where we are.
This sweet angel I purchased in Ventura, CA on our last trip up there at a thrift shop. This is her first holiday season with us and she is excited about it.
Looking forward to the holidays especially after all the heat we have had here.
The following blooms were from last summer but they seemed appropriate to share with you once more because of the colors for this season.

a picture which was never seen before and
which shall never be seen again" Ralph Waldo Emerson

My Pink World
Hello to all Pinkies,
I am so late in posting my pinks today because it's just been so hot, actually miserable. Over 100 and we don't really feel like doing much. Hope it cools down very soon if not sooner. My hubby Rick has not been feeling well with all this heat.
Ok, I have to share three things today. Two I made and one is vintage. Made this little lady in her pink dress with ladybugs and a pink lace shawl.
Here is a close up of her, I call her Matilda.
This couple is vintage and is going to one of my etsy shops, MyPinkWorld.
When I was making ceramics, always made cats so recently found this little kitten in one of my dresser drawers and decided to put her in a velvet bunting. She is also in my etsy shop. She is a lapel pin.
Hope this Pink Saturday has been a good one for all of you, thank you Beverly...and Happy Wedding Anniversary.

Pizza Anyone?
Hi to everyone and welcome to my blog. I didn't have anything really to post for ECS today because I have been having problems with my husband Rick's health.
Decided to post a couple of pictures of my grandson Andrew making a pizza at their restaurant.
Here he is throwing it up in the air, just like his late father taught him and they are delicious.
And that is what is cooking at their restaurant. Old Venice in Manhattan Beach, CA
Well that's it for this post, short and sweet. Enjoy the rest of the week.

Strawberry Smoothies
Good Morning to all my Pink Friends,
This morning we had strawberry smoothies so a light bulb went off in my pretty little head that said, use for Pink Saturday. This is what I put into it, delicious.
coconut milk (eye ball it)
2 small bananas
3 tbl spoon of protein powder
10 fresh strawberries
1 full carton of strawberry Greek yogurt
Yesterday Saturday my daughter Julie and I went to the Urban Barn in Escondido, CA and if that wasn't enough after that delightful trip we went to Vintage Market at the Oaks in Rainbow. Wow, what a day and it was hot but we had an amazing time, you know I didn't even have time for pictures, too much to see and friends to visit.
Perhaps you know my dear friend Sandy Brown of hello-cestmei.blogspot.com she is a darling gal and is doing photography for Parisianne Farmgirl Magazine on line and also doing articles. She sews beautifully and her daughter is knitting, my daughter even ordered a scarf from her. This is one of her cuffs and a skirt.
Then we visited with my other dear friend Lexa of Wings of Lace, she also has a booth at Urban Barn, wingsoflace.com ... another amazing gal who makes clothing out of vintage linens and lace. I first met Lexa at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena and we became instant friends, she is just a delightful gal and here she is.
Well this was our Friday tired but happy cause it's a happy tired, you probably have experienced this before. You come home hot and tired but with a smile from ear to ear. Thank you Beverly for hosting our lovely Pink Saturdays and allowing us to get together with our other Pink friends. Have a wonderful Pink week.

A Beautiful Virgin
Hello Dear Friends,
Today I thought I would share with you a couple of things my daughter, Julie had done in her back yard. One of her workers was making a trip to Mexico so she asked him to bring her tiles depicting the Virgin of Guadalupe. She had this idea that she wanted to add to her yard, actually a patio area.
He did bring her the tiles then she hired someone to execute her idea. She still has a few things to do like adding plants all around her, but I had to share it already. Her time is so limited, she owns a restaurant and lost her husband in a horrible accident as you might of read here in earlier posts.
This is her angel fountain which is on the other side of the Virgin.
Closer look at Virgin which is right below this one. I meant to put that pic first.
In June we went to the San Gabriel Mission and found this Virgin on the grounds as we took the walking tour. We had no idea of it and she was overwhelmed that it reminded her so much of hers. Of course this is so much larger and look at the plants over the top and a cement bench to sit and meditate, however, the similarities are there.
Thank you so much for visiting with me today, I always enjoy having visitors and comments. I linked up with Ivy and Elephants, link on side bar. Please check these wonderful gals out. Have a blessed week sweet friends.

My Pink World
Good Morning My Pink Friends,
These Saturdays certainly do come around fast, don't they? Thank you Beverly for our Pink Saturdays, always enjoy visiting pink friends and their pink finds.
This first picture is a pair of pillows cases that I made. Had this sheet that I had always liked so decided to make a pair of cases, they turned out very nice.
Good old GW, found this darling pink shoe for only $4. of course had to have.
We have an old Spanish style house and the tile in the main bathroom is black and pink, which I love. Our kids have told us never to change this tile cause they really like it. I decided to change the medicine cabinet, however, for this mirror cabinet which I painted black. I collect swans so here are a couple with my bottle which is displaying an old necklace.
My granddaughter Kimberly likes to bring me little gifts, she recently brought me this pink tulip soap, I just hate to open it up so it's still wrapped.
These are my pinks for this week, it's interesting having so much pink around this way our family members and friends always know to give me something pink and know they can't go wrong.
Hope all of you enjoy this lovely Pink Saturday and this holiday weekend, stay safe.
See you next week.
