New York + Vintage Marketplace

My grand daughter Kelly, went to New York and send me a couple of beautiful pictures of St. Patrick's Catheral.
My daughter Julie and I went to The Vintage Marketplace at the "Oaks" this Friday. It's our third time there and it seems to get better and better each time we go. Here are a few pictures for you to enjoy.
Just look at these beautiful faces.
Think my greatest treat was meeting Sandy Brown, cest Moi Sandy, my dear blogging friend. She was selling there that day, what a darling gal she is. This was her booth. We didn't know what each other looked like but I recognized the name on one of her labels. It was so funny when we said, are you Sandy? are you Lu? at the same time. We gave each other a big hug.
My daughter and I had a marvelous day, weather was perfect and best of all I got to meet my blogging friend Sandy. She is such a sweet girl and she brought her baby boy also her talented daughter, she does ceramics. If you live in CA do not miss going to this great marketplace sometime. I believe it is held once a month by Rita Reade and Christie Repasy. Located in Rainbow, CA.

  1. The cathedral is beautiful indeed. What a fun marketplace! I've never been to Rainbow, California and I'll have to look it up on the net and see where it is located. Not that I can go there! I love the look of the place and how terribly exciting to find a bloggy friend! I hope some day I can meet a friend or two myself.

  2. Hello Lu,

It was so wonderful to meet you Lu! My other daughter was a bit disappointed that she did not get to meet you.
I feel a little weird that I am here at your blog and now I actually see you (the person) behind this blog in my mind.

I am glad that the little ceramic shoe did not sell because now it is in my workspace.

Thank you for already visiting my blog.
I will be posting about the fair tonight.
I had some custom orders that I need to list on Etsy and a lot of items to put away (from the fair). I also wanted to thank you for your tips on the booth. It helped. But, mostly Sunday morning I had some time with the Lord and prayed for a succesful day. When I arrived 10 minutes later at my booth... 1 skirt sold before opening. Praise Lord!
Yes, you were correct... I brought another table in a trunk added a mirror... and brought all my jewelry...The bookmarks were behind us in the vintage rose canopy.
Aren't they pretty... Everyone liked them.
I will be listing them on Etsy soon...

    Love and Hugs!

    Sandy

  6. Hi Lu,
I have never been to St. Patrick's...would love to see it someday. I hear it is gorgeous. Cardinal Dolan has a show on the Catholic Channel on Sirius radio that celebrates the Mass at St. Patrick's.
How lucky you are that you ran into a blogger friend. I would love to meet mine.
