Greetings to all my blogging friends...
I decided to make a post about crowns, you see I love crowns and tiaras. Guess have since I was a little girl. So here are a few which I wanted to share with you today. This first one is my wedding crown, which I have shown before with wedding pictures, of course had to share again.
This little cutie I purchased at Christie Repasy Vintage Marketplace.
I was a princess at my high school prom and still have my tiara.
One of my daughters was Miss 17 and this was her tiara.
My dolly wears one of my hair combs, she looks so cute with it.
One of my pretty rings.
Oh how I love this bracelet.
Had fun altering this bottle.
Here is Queen Elizabeth in 1953 her Coronation Portrait London, England.(not subject to copyright)Doesn't she look beautiful wearing her crown?
Well hope you have enjoyed my crowns and tiaras. We can all dream that we are a princess or a queen at some point in our life. Do you feel like a queen sometimes?
We are having beautiful fall weather now leading up to the holidays, enjoy.

Can't say that I have. Nice collection. Trish
ReplyDeleteI love crowns too! I have an old santos crown and another (reproduction) one on my living room windowsill. If you ever get a change to see the crown jewels in London, it will take your breath away. The crown she is wearing in the photo is there. There are dozens of crowns, each more beautiful than the last - just a couple of feet away! (Behind very thick glass, with lots of guards present). Love, Linda

ReplyDeleteHi Lu,
ReplyDeleteBeautiful crowns and tiaras, You have a treasure trove which many people would envy. I can see your daughter is also following the foot steps of the mother and soon she will have her own lovely collections. Unfortunately I never got any crowns or tiaras but I have received a cup for my athletic performance and a medal when I participated in the Republic Day parade at New Delhi.
Wish you all the best,
Joseph

ReplyDeleteI LOVED LOVED your crown and tiara post because I love crowns. I still have my Homecoming Princess tiara too. That bracelet is a beauty, and the vintage crown is lovely. I'm sorry that your husband hurt his back. I hurt my back years ago lifting something very heavy, and to this day, if I pull the same muscle, I can feel it all over again. Back injuries take awhile to heal. I really enjoyed your post today, and I do hope that your husband feels better soon.

Hi Lu,
ReplyDeleteOh I have so enjoyed catching up with your posts. Love your collection of crowns/tiaras. I love them too and just beginning to collect.
Your crown ring is gorgeous.
Hope you are doing well my friend. Did your grand daughter decide on her big project?
Best wishes to her.
Hugs, Celestina Marie
Your crowns and tiaras are beautiful, and like you, I love that lavender bracelet. I can't say I've ever felt like a princess, but when my daughter found out that princesses were real (when William and Kate were married) she just became awestruck! She loves dressing up as a princess. When a friend and I used to clean houses, we always talked about getting tiaras and wearing them while we scrubbed floors. Ha!
